For my fifth trip to T in The Park, I decided it was high time I stuck up something more distinctive than a pair of pants on a stick to help me find my way back to my campsite. So I did this.

Black acrylic paint on a dust-sheet. Trimmed and sewn to leave clean edges and a sleeve on each side into which the two poles were inserted. Poles were made from waste pipe; two large poles which fitted snugly inside each other cut in half to form two smaller, telescopic poles.

A swiss army knife and a couple of screws later: one 3m tall banner.

I made it all with cheap materials and didn't get too fussy about making it perfect because I knew it would get pinched - which it did. Ah well!
